1. RSS Feed

- Reactivate this feature

2. Trackback

- Let's follow the standard

3. Audit the tags

- Let's return to the XHTML standard;;

4. Tags/Category definitions

- Add permission properties for comments
- (?) Allow more informal tags
- (?) Then, the current tagging will become 'category'

5. Give some degree of control on auto-login

- Allow users to view/modify the user's own auto-login information.

6. More in-document tags in comment/article

- quoting a web page with iframe/div
- url tag requires some upgrades
- hid tag requires some upgrades
- add more styling tags (I really need this!)
- better parser needed! (let's support nesting!)
- should be compatible with the current in-document tags.
- more efficient picture-attachment method needed: add a picture attachment tag on the cursor position.

7. Bugs

- article div bug
- losing property bug
- article link bug (when a single article in this blod is referred by the url)

8. Search

- Reactivate search. (deactivated after the schema reform)

9. New features

- preview
- emoticons (subtle exd style + anime style)
- "viewable only to admin" option for commenting
- no more "hidden content" option for non-admin, which makes users confused.
- more random color schemes/designs
- avatar-like personalized icons (just need to make html interfaces. the code and schema has been ready for this for 5 years....;;;)
- per-ID+IP logging in DB. has been deactivated since the last update. let's reactivate this feature. the log files became a total mess after the last update :(

10. Whether to allow this or not... I'm still thinking...

- edit comment
- view before-the-edit articles
- auto translations (using google's or some others' free online services)
- auto language tagging
- auto wiki link / wiki connectivity

- custom access control on each article/comment
(as the CPU power has been increased much since the last APFSDS blog update, this won't hurt much.)

11. Misc

- new top pictures

12. Why don't you play some music in the blog?

- Because I know it really annoys users. ;)

- Imagine while you are surfing the Internet with music or other media playing -- I do so --, suddenly a loud (browsers usually use the max volume) unknown music comes out and makes you surprised especially with those tiny uncomfortable interface. Do you really think it would make users 'happy'? It usually makes happy only for the page owner and it's usually a sign of a NOOB. :P

That's another reason that I hate 'minihompi'. Why in the hell everyone has the same page with same design and damn same music? Please be different from others. please.. I'm not asking to write your own web application source code in order to run a blog like me. Just become independent and make your own page design, not by buying the design of the hosting company. Aren't you upset by the fact that your page cannot be searched by other third party search engines and everything you do is controlled by that company?

- And.. I know.. most people don't like music that I like. lol..

13. ETA

- Start of design/coding: mid June
- Estimated time/effort: less than the recent update (I don't even remember when... probably.. 3 years ago?) => a week or two?
- Let's hope that I still remember most part of the code. Otherwise, this would become a real pain in the ass...
